This wine is complex and intriguing. Aromas of raspberry, plum and cherry with menthol, tobacco and spice. The palate is medium bodied, smooth and rounded. The tannin structure is supportive of the red berry fruit allowing it to linger on the palate.
FOOD PAIRINGThe aroma is a very intense spice including black pepper and black fruits such as plums and blackberries. Good quality French oak is apparent with hints of vanilla and warm spices. When tasting the wine you can experience dry, soft, ripe and fleshy tannins that are well supported by rich black fruits and spice. There is a generous mid-palate filled with blueberry and warm spices and a peppery finish that is long and persistent.
FOOD PAIRING
Can be paired with a mild spiced Mexican stew or a low roasted leg of lamb with a touch of rosemary and garlic.
The Shiraz grapes are from mature vines growing on a north facing slope of karri loam and gravel soils. The wine was carefully aged in a mixture of new and old French barrels to enhance the fruit flavours but not overpower them.
The deep red colour precedes aromas of cedar, all spice, black pepper, and mocha notes. The palate is focussed, with fine grained velvety tannins, showcasing maraschino cherry and succulent blackberry flavours
FOOD PAIRING
Smoky grilled meat or Brisket and vegetables go wonderfully with this Shiraz.
Medium deep ruby red with a bright ruby hue. Aromas of raspberry, cherry and plum jump out of the glass, with subtle hints of musk and rose petals. The palate is deliciously vibrant and juicy, the fruit flavour is in abundance and the tannins are a structural framework that gives the flavour and mouthfeel beautiful length.
FOOD PAIRING
The spice in Grenache sees it matching superbly with roasted meats and vegetables, stews, heavier game birds like turkey.
