2018 Alkoomi, White Label, Shiraz

From the Great Southern region, this stunning White Label Shiraz displays a deep red colour with purple tinges. The luxurious bouquet offers mesmerising aromas of blueberries, black cherries and plums, coupled with a touch of pepper and spices. These fragrances give way to a juicy palate filled with flavours of black cherries, plums and savoury oak. Chewy tannins integrate with these magnificent characters to end the wine in a refreshing finale.

FOOD PAIRING

Pairs beautifully with a roast rack of lamb or prime rib roast.

 

2017 d'Arenberg, The High Trellis, Cabernet Sauvignon

From the McLaren Vale region, there's a cool climate vibe to this wine (thanks to the cooler 2017 vintage). It's medium-bodied and acid-driven, with loads of black currant, blackberry and liquorice flavours. The finish is long, and supple, with plenty of spice to boot!

FOOD PAIRING

This wine will fit most meals but is a favourite amongst smooth strong cheese or some dark chocolate. 


2019 Bethany, First Village, GSM 

From the Berossa Valley region, the wine holds a bright purple-red hue with good density and vibrancy. Crisp red fruits from the Grenache intermingle with the firmer blue fruits and spice notes of the Shiraz and Mataro. A stony earth character adds to the complexity of the nose. A dynamic and driven palate is dominated upfront by fresh redcurrants and raspberries with black cherries and satsuma plum adding more character. Fine-grained tannins add freshness and structure to the palate ensuring a long, clean and ebullient finish.

FOOD PAIRING

Perfect for wood fire pizzas and charcuterie plates. 


2018 Pertaringa, Over the Top, Shiraz 

From the McLaren Vale region, the smells of a big bouquet of raspberries and cherries with a dash of pepper and other spices surround this wine. The taste is big, rich and seductive with the berry fruit following through, complemented by a hint of minerality and great structure on the lingering finish.

FOOD PAIRING

Go retro and bring out the carpetbag steak! For you younger ones, that’s a scotch fillet steak stuffed with oysters and wrapped in bacon.

 

2017 Tahbilk, Cabernet Sauvignon

From the Goulburn Valley region, this wine offers distinctive cassis, dark plum and mulberry varietal fruits that are nuanced with Asian 5 spice, mint and touches of mocha. Deliciously approachable now, a ripe tannic grip lends support for extended development to 2035/2040.

FOOD PAIRING

Pork tenderloin, hodge-podge, grilled burgers, barbecued steak, even a grilled rib-eye steak will enhance the flavour of this wine.

  

2019 Yering Station, Little Yering, Pinot Noir

From the Yarra Valley region, the wine colour is vibrant cherry red with Intense red fruits carried by an ethereal perfume for the smell.  A classic Pinot style for taste– lovely cherry layered with delicious savoury spice. A silky concentration provides richness and length with a beautiful natural balance making this the ultimate Pinot Noir. 

FOOD PAIRING

Try with a rare grilled tuna steak or a porcini mushroom risotto.
